HerNest Data & Knowledge Provenance and Verification Notice

HerNest is a human-centered ecosystem that builds sustainable systems through experimentation, applied research, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Our work generates knowledge through real-world experiments, case studies, use cases, behavioral intelligence, human and contextual signals, ecosystem observations, metrics, frameworks, methodologies, system designs, and other forms of applied knowledge.

As HerNest’s ecosystem continues to expand through collaborations, partnerships, research, experimentation, and other forms of engagement, we are establishing a formal provenance and verification mechanism for materials represented as HerNest work.

Verification of HerNest Materials

Any material presented as originating from, produced by, authorized by, or officially associated with HerNest should be capable of verification through the HerNest Governance system.

This includes, among other things:

Formally issued HerNest materials may carry a unique verification code.

The verification code establishes a reference through which the authenticity and provenance of the material can be confirmed.

How to Verify

If you receive or encounter material represented as HerNest work, please check for its unique verification code.

If a verification code is provided, send the code to:

governance@hernest.com.ng

If no verification code is provided, you may request one from HerNest Governance before relying upon, publishing, reproducing, or attributing the material to HerNest.

be informed

Important Notice Regarding Unverified Material

HerNest does not authenticate or recognize material as an official HerNest publication, dataset, finding, metric, statement, framework, case study, or representation solely because it contains the HerNest name, logo, branding, or references to HerNest.

Where material cannot be verified through the HerNest Governance system, HerNest may not recognize that material as an authorized HerNest output.

This verification mechanism exists to protect the integrity and provenance of HerNest’s work and to provide collaborators, researchers, organizations, media, institutions, and members of the public with a reliable method for determining whether material attributed to HerNest is genuine.

WHO WE WORK WITH

Ecosystem and Partner Information

HerNest operates across a broad ecosystem of collaborators, partners, contributors, participants, researchers, and organizations.

Some ecosystem relationships, research inputs, methodologies, datasets, and partnership arrangements may not be publicly disclosed.

The absence of public disclosure does not affect the ability to verify an authenticated HerNest output.

Verification confirms provenance without requiring disclosure of confidential or restricted ecosystem information.

how to reference

Attribution

HerNest welcomes responsible reference to its work.

Where HerNest-originated work is reproduced, referenced, adapted, or incorporated into another work, appropriate attribution should be maintained and the original context should not be materially misrepresented.

Where external information has been combined with HerNest material, the distinction between HerNest-originated information and independently generated material should remain clear.

where we stand

Our Position

HerNest is building an experimental knowledge ecosystem in which human experience, behavioral signals, contextual information, systems thinking, and real-world experimentation contribute to the development of sustainable systems.

The knowledge generated through this process forms part of HerNest’s intellectual and organizational body of work.

We are therefore introducing provenance controls so that the origin of HerNest work can remain traceable as our ecosystem grows.
